Office of Student Affairs
Based on our school motto “Ren Xin (having a heart withbenevolence), De Shu (employing professional skills based on one’s virtues), Bo Shi (carrying out the learned skills extensively without boundaries), Ji Zhong(relieving the pain of all people, rich or poor)“ together with the four prospects of Ministry of Education, the job of Student Affairs at Jen-Teh is to build up the developing campus culture, cultivate our students with good virtues and character, and advance our students to achieve the development as the “whole-person” with future success in career so as to train our students to love their native soil deeply and become excellent citizens with world view.
There are seven divisions under the Office of Student Affairs, including Student Assistance Division, Student Extracurricular Activities Division, Student Counseling Center, Service Learning Division, Sanitation and Health Care Division, Physical Education Division and Student Accommodation Center. Each division works with collective wisdom and concerted efforts as a team to build up a multi-cultural campus, designing a variety of activities and counseling programs, encouraging students to join activities related to five nurtures and Jen-Teh’s vuluntary service plans, strengthening the three-level precautions against mental and problematic behaviors, offering courses such as sexual harassment, sexual abuse(assault) prevention and gender equality, carrying out service learning by way of serving the communities, holding lectures concerning hygiene and health care regularly, providing sound measures to assist students’ studying stably, and thus creating a warm and high-quality learning environment for students on campus.
We are responsible for:
- maintaining campus stability and handling student safety education.
- promoting the traffic safety and dealing with accidents.
- giving the advisory activities of student behavior, and processing student mandatory military service.
- evaluating student moral conduct.
- the competition of environment neat in the campus.
- providing accommodation guidance.
- assisting for lost-found and handling of letters for student.
- editing to the student handbook.
- permitting to the preferential treatment of tuition and living expenses.
- appling to scholarship from in-out campus for students.
- supporting the bonus of tuition to students.
- aiding the student financial support in case of emergence.
We are responsible for:
1. health examination for freshman.
2. holding special lecture and counseling about hygiene.
3. holding on-campus food sanitation meetings
4. revising the contract of health check
5. drafting projects of sanitation education activities
6. scheming projects of sanitation services
7. coordinating faculty, staff and students’ health check
8. holding sanitation education.
9. freshmen, transfer students and interns health check, tracking and treatment
transferring
10. medical care service group for on-campus activities
11. assisting regular treatments and injuries
12. managing and filing documents and students’ health statements
13. CPR training
14. purchasing pharmaceuticals
15. assisting the sanitation check of the drinking water machines
16. sanitation and health information announcement
17. promoting sanitation and health education
18. specific disease filing and guidance
19. students’ accident insurance
We are responsible for:
1. supervising student self-discipline group consulting
2. dealing with tuition loan, tuition reduction and waiver applications
3. voluntary services program
4. extracurricular activities and volunteer record card
5. application of graduate activity education certification
6. financial assistance for part-time students, associations and club activity money management.
7. contact business of outside campus activities
